MVP was founded in 1989 to develop and distribute high performance machine vision solutions. MVP is a growing company in a growing market with a total staff of 100 exclusively dedicated to the development, support and marketing of PCB assembly inspection equipment. They have focused their efforts on developing leading edge software solutions. In tandem, MVP utilises the latest developments in hardware for lighting, cameras, processors, and frame capture cards to offer a highly effective vision solution for the customer.

Role in the Project
MVP will participate mainly in the development of optical inspection methods for online defect detection in ICs. They will build on their existing skills and experience to develop improved methods that will allow the full functionality of optical inspection techniques to be applied to the smaller high component density ICs that are available today.

Reasons for Participating
The goals of this project are consistent with MVP's 18 years dedication to the development of automated optical inspection technology. Participation will allow them to continue to expand in the area of 3D solder paste inspection, both in terms of hardware and software. It is also in line with the company's policy of meeting the future needs of its growing customer base.
